Walton is officially crazy
I for one, have questioned the Shaq trade. Who knows if he’s healthy enough to run? How will he fit in even if he can run? How does he help or hurt the other players? True, there are a lot of question marks. But Bill Walton really took it too far, even by his standards.
In one broadcast last year, Walton referred to the Suns’ as having “one of the best defenses in the NBA”. Mark Jackson was also doing the game and he pretty much just dropped his mic and left the building after that comment. Whether or not what Walton said is true, at least give Shaq a chance to prove that he isn’t washed up. But of course I can hear people say “Why can’t Walton say what he believes? He’s getting paid for it after all.” Come on people, Walton is only on ESPN because he used to play in the league. He was a semi-star during the golden age of basketball. He’s not on there because of his “astute commentary”. He’s pretty much just a name.
With a comment like “Shaquille O’Neal’s arrogance is an insult to people who think,” Walton has not only broken the “big man code”, but he has officially gone crazy.

Walton is and always has been crazy. But wut most people don’t realize is that he’s a former hippie who’s probably high outta his mind during broadcasts. So you haveta just treat him like any crazy pothead running their mouth, just laugh it off

haha well said. I just saw him coach the celebrity all star game against stephen a. smith. It was annoying to say the least. Both of them shouting at full volume desperate for attention.
